I'm not sure if this Mud Pie counts as a "pie" as such due to the lack of pastry. The base was made of Digestive Biscuits and melted butter. So maybe I'll just count it as an added bonus?
The recipe came from the Great British Bake off book and was pretty easy to make! I had a slightly smaller tin than recommended so there is loads of mix left over. I'm guessing I can just chuck them in a tin and make flourless brownies!
The Mud Pie itself is very rich and absolutely delicious! The whole house smelled like chocolate for hours. Even when I got in on Saturday night, and well into Sunday morning - I could still smell it! And it went down a treat with the In-Laws!
