Loss this week: GAINED! 1 lb
Loss Overall: 41lbs
Pounds till target: 36lbs
If I could show you my ultimate side eye right now, I would. I'm fed up and today had a wobble about if I'm just meant to be chubby the rest of my life - I'm finding the idea of being on a "diet" for the rest of my life extremely tedious.
That being said, when I eat well - I feel better! I just don't know why I haven't been able to do it lately.
Ceri made a comment yesterday about how I was unable to control myself - and I absolutely agree with him but this isn't an excuse. If you put food in front of me, I will eat it. I don't know why I can't stop my hand from reaching out and popping it straight into my mouth. I used to "ruin" food when I was done eating - like covering food in salt or vinegar. Which I know is so wasteful of me - but I would continue to pick and that's not a good habit to have.
Along with all the other codswallop that comes with being a woman, when Aunt Flo is in town, your body decides to become Enemy Number 1, how?
- Fluid retention
- Muscle & Joint pain
- Tenderness in le boobies
- Insomnia
- Increased body temperature
- weight gain
- Appetite changes
- Feeling irritable or angry
- Tearfulness
AMONGST OTHER THINGS! Cheers Body, I thought you were on my side? When the decorators are in, I seem to crave sugar - more than usual. Awesome. There's no overcoming it really - that I know of. All I can do is not get disheartened and get back on the horse, so to speak.
But I'm changing the way that I food shop - I usually do one big shop once a month. At the end of the month, when payday is still seemingly years away and the cupboards are bare, it can be difficult to remain healthy and just go for quick, cheap and unhealthier foods. But now, we're going for weekly shops to ensure that cupboards are always fully stocked and there is an abundance of healthy food and snacks in the house!
Things I'm looking forward to cooking in September:
- Pizza covered Chicken
- Blueberry Pancakes
- Classic BLT
- Egg Fried Rice
- Turkey Burgers!

I've decided I don't like the weighing method. I've stopped losing weight and seem to be putting it on even though I'm exercising etc. But then I noticed my arms have actually got muscle now so maybe that's what's causing weight gain? I think I'm going to see if I lose inches now rather than weight to see if that makes any difference.
ReplyDeleteSo don't lose hope! It might be that's happening to you too? You should be proud of how far you've come already! x
I think because the measuring is so different to what I've been used to, I've been put off from trying it!
DeleteI might give it a go and see what happens, so that even if I don't appear to lose weight but my body shape has changed I can find solace somewhere!
