I think it's quite important to be grateful for things this week, on Tuesday I was signed off work by my GP with stress/anxiety and depression - so that was awesome....
One of my favourite things to do, is just to watch film trailers. I don't know why, maybe it's like watching loads of little movies? But these are two I've watched this week - The Impossible is about the Boxing Day Tsunami and the other, For a Good Time Call - just seems like a good ol' romp!
The Great British Bake Off has been back for a few weeks and once again, I'm in love with it! I've been pouring over my cook books looking at things to bake, cook and create! I love having a kitchen that's all mine, Ceri is lucky to get a look in really - I generally don't like him cooking anything because he's a poor multi-tasker and I like my kitchen to be clean - I just don't utilise the space half as much as I should!
Chuck from Pushing Daisies by Irena Fretas!
♥ Super interesting article - why do female comedians need to be "ugly"? (Certainly raises some questions regardless of your thoughts on feminism)
♥ Possibility of a female Doctor in the future? (Doctor Who Content)
♥ Frank Gardner is a BBC Journalist who, in 2004, was attacked by al-Qaeda sympathisers, he has since been in a wheelchair and continues to travel the World for the Beeb, here's an interesting article of what it's like, for him, to travel as a wheelchair user.
♥ 100 Greatest Movie Threats (NSFW - due to some choice language!)
♥ This is a bit old but you can look up old court cases from The Old Bailey dating back to 1674!

I love this list! I just found your blog and I think it's so fun!

thank you so much!
DeleteI totally teared up watching that trailer for The Impossible.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those irrational fears for me when I'm at work or at a friends, that there might be some major natural disaster and I can't contact or get to Rob
xo
Anything to do with the Tsunami and I get instantly upset!
DeleteI tried to comment on this but it wouldn;'t let me for some reason. Im so sorry to hear you are in a bit of a blip, I hope it is one that isn't too long. I know how you feel, i suffer too! Im glad to see you have things to keep you occupied though. I have not watched the GBBO before this year although got given the bake book for christmas last year, I LOVE it though! I really like that wheelchair piece and the Old Bailey! In my training I had to go around in a wheelchair for the day to see what it's like, it really is an eye opener! xxxx

ReplyDeleteI've been addicted to the GBBO, it's the highlight of my week! I am especially a fan of James and his sweaters.
I adore James! I love a scottish accent and I hope he wins! I've been obsessed with baking because of it too!
