Meringues


The other day, I had a craving for meringues. I looked up a recipe on Slimming World and gave it a go - it was "syn free" meaning  you could essentially have as many as you liked.

Ingredients:
4 egg whites
16 tablespoons of sweetner (I used Splenda)

Method:

Preheat the oven to about 110 Degrees

Separate the egg whites from the yolk, put into a large, clean and dry bowl and whisk until frothy.


Add the sweetener, a spoonful at a time, and mix into the egg whites. 


Finish adding in the sweetener and mixing until the mixture is stiff and frothy.

Fold with a metal spoon and then place the mixture onto a baking sheet ready to put in the oven.


Pop them in the oven for about 90minutes otherwise they sink and go a bit soggy - in all honesty, these weren't brilliant - it would've been easier to just buy them from a shop but if you're feeling particularly guilt they're a good syn free eat!
