Green Fingers and BBQs!

The sun decided that finally, in late July, it would peek its head out and bestow some summer on us!
I was ready to hang up on hope on any sign of sunshine this year and I hope that this isn't a swan song before autumn turns up, but in South Wales - that is entirely possible!

Ceri & I had a big clear out of the garden on Saturday - odds and sods that have been sitting, forgotten, for a number of months. We headed down to the skip with 5 bags of weeds and assorted paraphernalia.

Saturday evening was spent having our first BBQ for a good number of weeks! Cath came over and we sat enjoying a lovely, warm Saturday evening with some good eating!

We're planning a small engagement party for our families and a few friends for the August Bank Holiday weekend and, if the weather is like this, then it will be wonderful and our garden will look so much healthier than it has done the last few weeks!

  2. This looks so idyllic to me! BBQ food AND acoustic guitar amongst the lavender? It's like an Anthropologie campaign :-) Beautiful!

    1. haha I've been so tempted to cut our lavender bush back - it's run wild through our garden but the smell is amazing!
